“I would believe that you were understanding and super nice for giving me another chance.” By managing to keep the sass out of her voice, she almost sounded convincing.

“Good try but we both know you wouldn’t respect me if I gave in to your whining. You need this to clean the slate and be reminded of my rules.”

The lowering of her panties guaranteed his seeing the telltale sign of her body’s reaction to his dominance, but she gave up hope that those particular needs would be satisfied anytime soon as his hand lifted from her bottom and began to spank hard and fast. Reaching back to protect her backside was futile as he grabbed her wrist and pinned it to her side. He remained silent as the spanking ensued to ensure that she focused on her vulnerable position and exactly what was happening. Pleading and promises of perfect behavior did nothing to stop the barrage of painful swats.

He paused to shift her bottom higher, raised his hand and delivered the hardest set yet with twenty smacks to each of her sit spots. The burn was unbearable as he managed to strike the same place each time which prevented her from finding a distraction from the pain. Just when she felt she couldn’t survive another stroke, it was over.

Mark released his hold and gently helped her stand before him. Tear-stained and with her hair resembling a bird’s nest, she both looked and felt like a very contrite little girl.

“Next time I have to do this it will be longer and harder, nor will I use my hand. Have I made myself clear, young lady?”

  “Yes, Daddy,” she sniffed.

“I hope you’ve learned something here. I don’t want to have to repeat this.” He rocked her shaking body back and forth and stroked her hair as she cried into his shoulder. “It’s okay, baby. It’s all done, and we’re fine now. Do you feel like we’ve cleared the air?”

Katie nodded and forced herself to take some deep breaths. She leaned against him and drew comfort from his loving embrace.

“You really do look adorable in those, you know.”

“Thank you. It’s soft and cozy, but I hate Smurfs,” Katie said, wiping her face on the sleeper’s sleeve.

Mark laughed and reached for a tissue from the nightstand. “I know you do. Are we clear on what behavior won’t fly around here?”

  “Yes, Sir.”

“Good girl. How about a movie?”

She shook her head. “No thank you. I have other ideas and Little Katie needs to go away for them to happen.” She turned her head and placed little kisses on his collar bone to incite the reaction that she craved.

“If that is how you want to play, you need to take off that sleeper, and then we can take care of both our needs.”

“Should I grab the arnica?” Katelyn asked hopefully as he slipped the material off her shoulders and watched as it fell to a puddle on the floor.

“In your dreams, sweet pea. There is nothing that excites me more than when I hear you squeal when I squeeze a newly spanked bottom.”

“That’s not my idea of fun,” she purred as his hands reached around to caress her hot flesh.

“Maybe not, but it sure is mine…”

Hopping in place with impatience, Katie whined and yanked Mark’s sleeve. “Where are they?”

“Relax. Keith just texted me and said they were getting their clubs and are on their way.”

Seconds later, Keith and Rose appeared ready for a game of mini golf.

Katie raced to greet them and gave Rose a tight hug. “Hi, Auntie! Are we still having a ‘no boys allowed’ day tomorrow?”

“Hello, sweetheart. Unless there was a change of plans that I don’t know about, that’s the plan.” She glanced at Mark questioningly. At his shrug, both girls smiled.

  “Yay! Girl’s day!” Katie announced.

“What do you mean ‘no boys?’ What am I—chopped liver? I didn’t even get a hug.” Keith feigned a pout.

“Nope, I like you way better than liver. Most of the time, anyway.” She jumped into his open arms and grunted as his hug pushed the air from her lungs. “Too tight. You’re squishing me!”

“What was that? I didn’t hear you. I’m hungry,” Keith asked, biting her neck to make her screech.

Rose smacked his shoulder. “Put her down, you big brute. No chewing in public.”

Keith snickered. “Since when do you think being a brute is a bad thing? I didn’t hear any complaints last night.”

Katie plugged her ears and yelled as she ran back to Mark. “La la la, I don’t want to hear this.”

  ***

Mark laughed heartily as the other couple engaged in a rather risqué embrace. Keith was his patrol partner on the police force, his best friend and considered family. While Mark and Katie participated in age-play as a regular part of their lifestyle, Keith and Rose practiced a dominant/submissive dynamic and weren’t ashamed to share that they enjoyed BDSM play both in and out of the bedroom. Keith was a strong dominant and Rose lovingly honored his leadership and served him with a smile on her face. The love and devotion between the pair were tangible and overflowed to Mark and Katie. What that love resulted in was Katie’s natural submission to the couple who she referred to as Auntie Rose and Uncle Keith and led to the running joke that it took a village to raise a Katie.

Publicly, her ability to shift into her little mode was more difficult due to her constant concern about causing discomfort to those who would not understand. Fortunately, the miniature golf course was empty at this time of the day, and the girl released her inhibitions, embracing life with the excitement of a child. Mark loved when she was able to bring herself to that level of freedom and it positively affected all of them.

“Well, shall we start this game?” Keith asked when he finally released his wife and planted a resounding smack to her hind end.

Katie giggled at Rose’s squeak and then scowled as she wagged her finger. “Tsk tsk Unc…Keith. Hands are not for hitting.”

The reprimand earned her a menacing look which immediately sent her seeking safety behind her husband’s back.

Mark spun around to capture her and then winked at his friend. “You’re right, sweetie. Hands are not for hitting. They are much more suited for tickling. Where do you think you’re going?” he asked, holding her snugly as Keith assaulted her extremely ticklish belly.

  “Auntie! Help!”

“Sorry, baby. It’s every woman for herself,” Rose answered as she nonchalantly set down her ball and lined up her first shot. The ball sailed smoothly down the green overshooting the hole by only a few inches. “Next!”

Keith paused the tickling. “Ladies first.”

Katie jerked away from Mark, straightened her shirt, smoothed her hair and then huffed while stomping toward the mat. “I hate being tickled,” she grumbled, taking her aggression out on the ball. She struck it hard, making it sail across the hole where it knocked Rose’s ball clean out of the way.

  “Hey!” Rose protested.

Katie smirked. “Sorry, baby. It’s every woman for herself.”

  Chapter Two

As promised, Rose pulled up to Katie’s house the following day to pick her up for some much-needed girl time. Before she exited the car, Katie sprinted out the front door yelling “Save me!”

“Get your butt back in the house, little girl. Don’t make me come after you.” Mark stood with his hands on his hips in the entryway. Rose wondered what the girl had done this time to provoke his annoyance. Katie froze mid-step and looked at Rose for help, only to receive a quirked eyebrow and a gesture that ordered the girl to return to her husband. Shoulders slumping in defeat, Katie returned to the house and squeezed through the tiny gap between Mark’s body and the doorway. He held a finger up in Rose’s direction, indicating that they would return shortly. With a broad grin, Rose returned Mark’s gesture with a thumbs-up and settled in the car to wait.

About three minutes ticked by before Katie was again racing toward the car. She dove into the passenger seat and slapped the dashboard. “Hurry! Drive! Get me aw
ay from that crazy man!”

“Crazy, huh? Put on your seatbelt.”

“He’s totally insane. I know how to behave in public, and I don’t need to be told the rules every time I leave the house; especially if I’m with you. He’s cray-cray.”

“Mmmhmmm.” Rose tried to keep a straight face as she pulled out of the driveway and started down the road. “I do know he’s crazy about you. He also knows how that little brain of yours works and how quickly you forget yourself when you get excited.”

  Katie rolled her eyes. “Whatever.”

Rose pulled the car to the side and turned her body so that she was fully facing the little attitude filled brat. “Did I just hear what I thought I did? Try again.”

Katie sunk in her seat. “Sorry, Auntie, I forgot.”

“I’m betting you also rolled your eyes at me. This is the only warning I will give you about that word. It is rude and dismissive and to be stricken from your vocabulary. If you can’t remember to speak respectfully, we will be ending our fun time together and head to my house to have a serious discussion. Understood?”

Katie groaned inwardly, knowing that Rose’s discussions involved very little talking and that the day would end with a bright red bottom. It wouldn’t finish there once Mark found out either. “Yes, Ma’am.”

“Good girl. I’m also getting very tired of the eye rolls. No more.”

“Yes, Ma’am,” Katie repeated, sinking deeper into the seat.

“That’s my girl. Let’s go have some fun.” She gave Katie’s hand a squeeze.

Katie visibly relaxed and sat back up. “Where are we going, Auntie?”

  “First stop, pedicures.”

  “Yes!”

After getting pampered, the two headed to the outdoor mall and explored the newly added section of shops. Without crowds of people, Katie had more freedom to be herself and immediately slipped into her full little mode when she spotted the huge candy store. She grabbed Rose’s hand and dragged her inside.

“Whoa, slow down! Where’s the fire?”

“Uh, duh! Didn’t you know that candy is my favorite food?” Katie gave her a sarcastic look. “Wow, look at this place. It’s huge! It’s like the candy mecca! Have you ever seen a place this ginormous?”

Katie wasn’t exaggerating. Walls of gummies, sugar-coated fruits and nuts, licorice, gumballs, chocolates, jelly beans and so much more spanned floor to ceiling. There were tables of fudge, lollipops, cotton candy machines, and even cases loaded with caramel and chocolate-covered apples. The smell of sugar assaulted her senses. Unable to resist any longer, she grabbed a basket and bounced toward the sweets.

Grabbing her arm, Rose pulled the girl back and quietly said “I can see that look in your eye. There is no way I’m going to allow you to eat until you get yourself sick. You’ve done it before, and it’s not happening again. You may pick three things.”

“Three? Are you crazy? There are three levels. How am I going to choose only three? How about three from each level? Seriously, Rose, look at this place. Three?”

“You do not need nine different candies. I will compromise—five.” Rose didn’t usually give in, but she had to admit that she adored spoiling the little stinker at times like this.

“Okay, five from each level.” Katie agreed, still held fast in Rose’s grip.

“Five candies and not one more. Have I made myself clear?”

Katie recognized the warning and capitulated. “Fine. Five candies and an ice-cream?”

“You are quite the little manipulator. You know that?” Rose placed her hands on her hips and tried unsuccessfully to appear stern.

“Please! I won’t even eat them all today. I promise.” She folded her hands in front of her and opened her eyes wide.

Rose busted out laughing. “You better believe you won’t eat it all today. I’ll make a deal with you—we can get ice cream after lunch, but I am choosing where we will go to eat. If there is any arguing, or you don’t finish what’s on your plate, then no ice cream.”

“You won’t make me eat green beans, will you?”

  “I might. Well?”

Katie looked around at the store and sighed. “It’s a deal. Let’s go on a treasure hunt.”

Rose patiently trailed behind and picked a few goodies for herself.

“Is that all you’re going to get?” Katie scoffed as she stood in line to pay for the treats.

“Yes. I don’t need to consume as much sugar as you seem to think you do.”

“It’s how I stay so sweet.” Katie flashed a cheeky grin.

“Is that your secret? Good to know.” Katie’s antics never failed to make her smile.

They left the store armed with their confections and headed for lunch which was, to Katie’s delight, burger and fries. Rose kept a straight face when asking the waiter if they could add green beans to Katie’s burger and acted disappointed when he explained that they didn’t carry the vegetable.

“I guess this means I get ice cream now, huh?” Katie asked, proudly pushing her empty plate into the center of the table.

“I suppose it does. Ready to do some more shopping first?”

  “Build A Bear!”

  “Oy,” Rose groaned, nodding.

  ***

Katie relaxed against the headrest of the passenger’s seat after a long day of fun at the mall. She always enjoyed her time with Auntie Rose. They had gotten their toes done (sparkly orange for her and dark red for Rose), shopped for new clothes, a mini Build-A-Bear bunny dressed in sparkly clothes, and, of course, candy and ice cream. She watched the trees pass by as they headed away from the mall.

“This isn’t the way home. Where are we going?”

  “It’s a surprise,” came Rose’s sing-songy reply.

The word ‘surprise’ was Katie’s button and there was nothing she loved more than a good one. Fatigue vanishing, she suddenly straightened. “I love surprises!”

  “Yes, I know.”

Bouncing in place, Katie couldn’t contain her curiosity. “How long ‘till we get there?”

  “Just a few minutes.”

  “How many is a few?”

  “As many as it takes.”

“That’s not an answer.” The eye roll was added for extra effect. She didn’t like minutes—they took way too long.

“Deal with it. It’s the only one you’re getting.”

Crossing her arms, Katie pouted. “Meanie.”

  “Thank you.”

Approximately five minutes passed. “Are we there yet?”

  “You tell me.”

Snorting as she stared at the long road, Katie crossed her arms. “This isn’t fair. You’re torturing me.”

“You’re welcome,” Rose said with a chuckle. “Don’t ask again or we will turn around and go home.”

After what seemed like hours, Rose pulled into a partially full parking lot. Realizing where they were, Katie began to bounce with excitement in her seat. “This is the new play park! Daddy’s been promising we would come here as soon as it opened. It’s been forever!”

“I know, he told me. He said it was okay if I brought you since he hasn’t had the chance with his work schedule and studying for his exam.”

“I know, right? He’s been working so hard lately. Can we go in? Please? Can we?” Katie jumped out of the car and hopped up and down while waiting for Rose to exit. She was so excited that she abandoned the routine scan to ensure that there were no witnesses to her full-fledged little space. At Rose’s nod, she made a beeline for the park’s entrance. It was divided to accommodate two different sections: one side for younger children and the other for older kids. Although the toddler side was tempting, her attention was riveted to the bigger portion. There were monkey bars, rings, uneven bars, a geometric dome climber, rope bridges that attached climbing structures to one another, tube slides and two huge twisty slides. She twirled in a circle to observe her choices before deciding on the swings. Sitting on the rubber seat, Katie kicked her feet i
mpatiently.

  “Auntie! Come push me.”

“I would love to, baby, but did you forget something?”

Rolling her eyes once again, she replied “Please push me. I wanna go really, really high! Like up to the stars!”

“The stars, huh? I don’t know if I’m strong enough for that, but we can try.”

“I can help and pump my feet like Daddy taught me.”

Rose gave a big push to get the swing moving while Katie’s giggles turned into a nonsensical song about catching the stars and dancing on the moon. Closing her eyes, she imagined that she had turned into a bird and was flying high and free with the wind blowing through her hair. After a few minutes, she scraped her feet against the ground and came to a slow stop.

  “What’s next?” Rose asked.

Eyeing the twin slides, Katie asked, “Wanna race?”

Rose nodded, and the two ran toward the slides. Rose took the steps while Katie ran directly up the slippery slide. Once they were both positioned, Katie braced her hands on the side walls and yelled: “On your mark, get set, go!” Pushing off, she didn’t bother to notice if Rose was ready or not. When her feet hit the ground, she whipped her head toward the other slide, and sure enough Rose was already there. “How did you beat me?”

“I have skills.” Rose dusted her shoulder and smirked.

Katie was not a fan of losing. “Rematch.”

  “You’re on.”

Three races later, Katie yelled and slapped the slide in frustration in a mini temper tantrum. “How do you keep beating me? Best outta seven!”

“No way, I win. Get over it.”

Katie crawled back up the slide and pouted. Rose joined her and hugged her warmly. “Are you being a poor sport?”

  “Maybe.”

“Well knock it off.” She poked Katie’s side.

Katie jumped and let go of her snit. “Fine.”

The two sat cuddled together in a comfortable silence for a long time. As darkness fell, Katie was entranced by the tiny bugs twinkling around them. “They look like little stars. I feel like I should be making a wish.”
